Market Opportunities for Sustainable Biomass and Biofuels Producers
- How to fulfil the market requirements with certification -
The conference provides a forum for decision makers in the palm oil and biodiesel industry to analyse the practical impact of the forthcoming sustainability requirements in European and other markets.
Based on an update of the legal situation in the EU and in member countries like Germany, the conference provides an insight into the process and requirements of sustainability and GHG certification. International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), the so far only recognized certification scheme that is based upon the new European sustainability legislation, will be explained in detail. A comparison with RSPO will make clear the differences between the two schemes. Representatives from ISCC and certification bodies will explain how certification is carried out in practice, what companies have to do for preparation and during the audits, and how high the costs are.
