ISCC Supports the United Nations Global Compact

In 2016, the ISCC association became a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact.

The world’s leading corporate initiative promotes the integration of UN universal principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption in business activities.

ISCC supports the realisation of the ten universal principles, including the Millennium Development Goals by

  • Offering knowledge and support to platforms and special workstreams
  • Promoting partnerships projects
  • Engaging with stakeholders and support companies in engaging
  • Implementing the UN Global Compact sustainability efforts

Human Rights

ISCC supports the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights. Thus, the ISCC standard comprises important requirements for fighting human right abuses

Labour

The worldwide elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory work as well as child labour is one of ISCC's main objectives. Within our ISCC sustainability standard we furthermore contribute to the elimination of discrimination and the strengthening of workers rights by supporting the freedom of association and the rights of collective bargaining

Environment

ISCC's vision for the environment is the sustainable development of agriculture and good agricultural practices. We have a long-standing commitment to environmental preservation, the protection of biodiversity and the reduction of the environmental footprint

Anti-Corruption

ISCC fights corruption including extortion and bribery

 

The UN Global Compact has more than 12,000 participants based in more than 160 countries. ISCC is one of them.
