7th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference and ISCC e.V. General Assembly

The 7th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference was a huge success and set with 220 registrations a new visitor record.
High profile speakers delivered interesting presentations on a broad range of topics:
- The future of biofuels discussed by the European Commission and Member States
- Opportunities of advanced and no iLUC biofuels
- The future of biofuels in aviation
- The implementation of the Low Carbon Fuel Standard in California
- The future of certification and the implementation of deforestation free supply chains
The speakers from the industry, NGOs, national authorities and the European Commission approached the topics from different angels. Panel discussions and networking sessions completed the conference.
The conference was open to all interested parties.

Right after the ISCC Global Sustainability Conference the General Assembly 2017 of the ISCC Association will take place for members and invited guests only. The venue is the same as for the ISCC Global Sustainability Conference.
In the evening prior to the ISCC General Assembly, on Tuesday, 14 February 2017, ISCC invites all members to join the ISCC Members Dinner.

4th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference and ISCC e.V. General Assembly in Brussels on February 5, 2014
3rd ISCC Global Sustainability Conference 2013 and General Assembly of the ISCC Association on February 6, 2013 in Brussels
On February 6, 2013 the 3rd ISCC Global Sustainability Conference took place in Brussels. The event was a great sucess due to the valuable contribution of the invited speakers and the almost 200 participants who took an active part in the lively panel discussions. Like in the previous year the conference was being moderated by Fiona Harvey from The Guardian.
In the morning session the speaker addressed the most challenging issues in EU biofuels policy and implementations of sustainabiltiy certification. The latest proposal of the European Commission with regards to indirect land use change was presented as well as the consequences of this proposal for sustainability certification. The participants learnt about the EU's virtual land imports and the application of RED requirements in North America. Further topics addressed were existing options of fulfilling the FQD GHG emission targets, key challenges and practical handling of double and quadruple counting and the presentation of the database Trace Your Claim to ensure sustainability throughout supply chains.
The afternoon session focused on sustainability issues in the bio-based economy. The European Commission and a NGO presented their expecations with regards to sustainability requirements. Representatives from the industry introduced their approach to implement sustainabilty requirements and recent developments in the feed, food and chemical industry. This was supplemented by the presentation of the modular approach of ISCC PLUS to fulfill these various requirements. Furthermore, an Icelandic company presented how to produce renewable methanol from non-biological orgin.
Right after the ISCC Global Sustainability Conference the General Assembly 2013 of the ISCC Association took place for members and invited guests. The minutes of the General Assembly will be available shortly in the client section of the ISCC website.
2nd ISCC Global Sustainability Conference and General Assembly of the ISCC Association on February 8, 2012 in Brussels
On February 8, 2012, the annual ISCC Global Sustainability Conference and General Assembly of the ISCC association’s members took place in Brussels for the second time. The open conference was very well attended: More than 160 participants listened to the interesting speeches and took part in the discussions. The conference provided information about the most important developments concerning the general conditions for regulation on European level and about the most actual insights concerning climate protection and biodiversity, as well as on their impact on enterprises. The conference also illustrated the experience with ISCC certification gathered by almost 1.200 companies from 52 countries and gave an outlook on future developments. Group Certification was explained by using the example of smallholders in India. The application of sustainability requirements for biokerosene, solid biomass for electricity and heat generation and for conventional markets were also discussed.

The last general assembly took place on February 8th, 2011 in Brussels. It started with an open conference where the developments of the regulatory general conditions and the gained experiences of one year active certification process were presented. Afterwards the General Assembly was held for the members of the ISCC e.V.

ISCC Association - Inaugural meeting on January 26, 2010
The ISCC Association was founded on January 26th, 2010. The official registration as "International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) e.V." in the register of associations at the Court of Cologne took place on March 22, 2010.
