ISCC Works Towards a
Sustainable World

ISCC’s mission is to use certification as a tool to reduce GHG emissions and establish sustainable production with fully traceable supply chains from the origin to the final user. This shall be achieved by implementing social, economic and environmental criteria.

We believe that sustainable supply chains are crucial to fight the most severe impacts of the climate crisis. Since greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are major contributors to climate change, we also consider the identification and reduction of GHG emissions as an important part of our work.

Our vision is to create a world without deforestation, a truly circular economy and a sustainable bioeconomy that minimises waste production. Sustainable agriculture that protects high-biodiversity and high-carbon lands and respects human, labour and land rights will contribute to this vision. In doing so, we aim to develop a resilient economic system and mitigate climate change.

ISCC’s Objectives

  • Implementation of zero-deforestation
  • Protection of land with high biodiversity value and high carbon stock,
  • Protection of soil, water and air
  • Compliance with human, labour and land rights
  • Measurement and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
  • Traceability throughout supply chains
