Add-on "SAI Gold"
ISCC has been asked to reach the SAI Gold compliance. As ISCC currently sees no necessity to include the remaining criteria into the core sustainability standard 202, but wants to provide ISCC system users a pragmatic and implementable solution to reach the Gold leve, ISCC has developed this Add-on.
In order to fulfil the ISCC PLUS Add-on "SAI FSA Gold" and thus the FSA Gold performance level the following Minor Musts must be fulfilled by farms/plantations:
Principle 2 of ISCC sustainability standard 202:
2.3.1: Conservation of soils
2.5.3: Application of good agricultural practices to reduce water usage and to maintain and improve water quality
2.7.1: Assistance with implementation of IPM systems has been obtained through training or advice
2.7.2: Evidence of implementation of at least one activity that falls in the category of "Prevention"
2.7.3: Evidence of implementation of at least one activity that falls in the category of "Observation and Monitoring"
2.7.4: Evidence of implementation of at least one activity that falls in the category of "Intervention"
2.8.10: Application of plant protection products is done appropri-ately
2.9.7: Obsolete plant protection products are securely main-tained and identified and disposed of by authorized or approved channels
2.10.2: The disposal of empty plant protection product containers does occur in a manner that avoids exposure to humans and the environment
2.10.4: The premises have adequate provisions for waste disposal
Principe 3 of ISCC sustainability standard 202:
3.1.1: The farm has a health, safety and hygiene policy and procedures including issues of the risk assessment
3.1.4: There are records kept for training activities and attendees
3.1.6: All workers received adequate health and safety training and have been instructed according to the risk assessment
3.2.2: There are facilities to deal with accidental operator contamination
Principle 4 of ISCC sustainability standard 202:
4.1: Self-declaration on good social practice regarding human rights
4.5: Workers are treated with dignity and respect
4.9: All negative environmental, social, economic and cultural impacts are avoided 4.11: There is at least one worker or a workers' council elected freely and democratically who represent the interests of the staff to the management
4.12: There is a complaint form and/or procedure available on the farm, where workers and affected communities can make a complaint
4.14: Records on all workers and employees
4.16: All workers are provided with fair legal contracts
4.18: The employment conditions of individual workers comply with legal regulations and/or collective bargaining agreements
4.19: Pay slips document the conformity of payment with at least legal regulations and/or collective bargaining agreements
4.20: Other forms of social benefits are offered by the employer to workers, their families and/or community
