The ISCC Sustainability Conference is our global flagship event, bringing together government bodies, regulators, ISCC Association members, ISCC system users, certification bodies, NGOs, research, and the wider sustainability community to share experiences, knowledge of best practices and innovations. The presentations are available for download from the ISCC website for three years.

14th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference

22 February 2024, Hybrid Event

On February 22, ISCC hosted its 14th Global Sustainability Conference in Brussels. The hybrid event brought together over 1200 participants and speakers from numerous markets and institutions to discuss sustainability challenges and solutions. From regulatory frameworks incentivising the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change to the role of ISCC certifications, we got it all covered! Furthermore, vivid panel discussions on distinct topics highlighted the representative’s commitment to sustainable change.


13th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference

On 15 February we held our 13th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference. While nearly 200 participants joined us in Brussels, we additionally counted more than 900 people following the conference virtually throughout the day. Altogether, participants from 86 countries took part. After two years of hosting our flagship event online, we were really looking forward to the hybrid version. We are very happy that we could see familiar faces again, meet new people, welcome our new ISCC Association members in person and simply experience the atmosphere of a get-together.


12th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference

The 12th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference was a huge success with nearly 800 participants joining us online from all over the world – a new attendee record in our books!

Speakers from the industry, NGOs, national authorities and the European Commission discussed key sustainability topics such as the Green Deal and Fit for 55, Sustainable Fuels for Aviation and Maritime, Innovative Certification Approaches in the Circular Economy and Bioeconomy and the Pathway to Carbon Neutrality.

11th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference

Valuable insights into the Green Deal and updates on the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) were given at the 11th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference. Representatives from the European Commission and expert speakers discussed the implementation in the Member States. Additionally, panel discussions with business insiders presented an outline on the latest developments in the circular economy and bioeconomy. Moreover, professionals from the industry gave an update about sustainable aviation fuels and innovative solutions.

The ISCC Global Sustainability Conference is a well-established platform for industry and trade representatives, NGO’s, associations, research bodies and authorities. The conference was a huge success with over 400 participants.


10th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference

The 10th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference offered valuable insights into the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) and the implementation in the Member States. Representatives from the European Commission and Member States presented policy updates that are highly valuable for professionals working in the renewable energy industry. Furthermore, the European Commission spoke about the EU Circular Economy Action Plan and forward-thinking companies unveiled their best strategies to implement holistic circular and bio-based approaches in the plastics industry. In addition, expert speakers will update you on the latest developments in the transport sector, mapping and traceability tools and food security as part of certification schemes.

The ISCC Global Sustainability Conference is a well-established platform for industry and trade representatives, NGO’s, associations, research bodies and authorities. The conference was a huge success with 250 participants.

The speakers from the industry, NGOs, national authorities and the European Commission approached the topics from different angels. Panel discussions and networking sessions completed the conference. The conference was open to all interested parties.

6th ISCC Global Sustainability Conference

This annual ISCC conference was open to all interested parties and has been established as an important platform for industry, trade, NGOs, associations, research and authorities to present and discuss recent developments, challenges, opportunities and emerging trends in sustainability and sustainability certification.

The 2016 conference was divided into three sessions

  • Decarbonization of the transport sector in times of low oil prices
  • Challenges in implementing the RED/FQD amendment
  • Sustainability certification for the non-regulated markets

Senior staff from the European Commission and national authorities, industry and associations approached the topics from different angles.

ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification), the first international certification system to prove sustainability and greenhouse gas savings for all kinds of biomass, gave a positive summary after one year of operation.
