Get EUDR Compliant – Ensure Traceability and Due Diligence

Do you need to place palm oil, soy, rubber, cacao, coffee, cattle or wood and its products on the EU market? Then you need to comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and ISCC helps you meet the EUDR requirements with integrated tools for risk analysis, deforestation check, and documentation.

What is the EUDR?

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) entered into force on 29 June 2023 to reduce the EU’s contribution to global deforestation and forest degradation. It aims to:

  • avoid that the listed products Europeans buy, use and consume contribute to deforestation and forest degradation in the EU and globally
  • reduce carbon emissions caused by EU consumption and production of the relevant commodities by at least 32 million metric tonnes a year
  • address all deforestation driven by agricultural expansion to produce the commodities in the scope of the regulation, as well as forest degradation

The regulation applies to seven commodities and a defined list of derived products associated with deforestation: Cattle, Cocoa, Coffee, Palm Oil, Rubber, Soy, and Wood. To place these products on the EU market or export them from the EU, operators and tradersmust comply with a set of legally binding requirements. From 30 December 2025, medium and large operators must comply. Micro and small businesses follow by 20 June 2026.

Simplify Compliance with the ISCC EUDR Add-On

The ISCC EUDR add-on is a certification-based extension integrating into existing ISCC audits and streamlines the path to compliance.

Certification and third-party verified schemes can play an important role in promoting sustainable agricultural and forestry practices and responsible sourcing, in fostering supply chain transparency and in facilitating compliance.

outlined by the guidance document (C/2024/6789) published by the European Commission

What are the EUDR Key Requirements?

Products must not originate from land subject to deforestation or forest degradation after 31 December 2020. They must be traceable to the plot of land where they were produced.

Products must be produced in line with the relevant legislation of the country of production, including land use, labor, environmental, and human rights laws.

Operators must conduct a due diligence process and submit a due diligence statement confirming no (or only negligible) risk of non-compliance.

Physical segregation is required to distinguish compliant from non-compliant products throughout the supply chain. Please note that EUDR compliance is product-specific and applies only to the commodities and derived products listed in the regulation. Businesses should carefully assess their product portfolio to determine their exposure.

The EUDR Add-on Provides Solutions for all EUDR Key Requirements

It Currently Supports the Following Commodities

Guaranteeing Traceability Along the Supply Chain

As an operator under EUDR definition and as an ISCC system user, you’ll also get access to the EUDRx Registry for downloading the corresponding geofiles for your DDS.

EUDR Add-On Components

ISCC EUDRx Tool

Analysis of the deforestation-free status and assessment of social risk indicators based on geolocation and national datasets.

And Corresponding Geofiles

Including EUDRx Report, Auditor Legality Verification Statement, and Sustainability Declaration.

What is the EUDRx Tool?

The ISCC EUDRx Tool provides an analysis of the deforestation-free status and summarises deforestation risk and social risk indicators based on geolocation and national datasets. The ISCC EUDRx tool conducts a risk assessment covering the following topics: presence of forest, spread of deforestation, distance to forest, and distance to deforestation for the uploaded geofiles.

Furthermore, it provides a risk assessment for social criteria covering all requirements of the EUDR, including human rights violations, corruption, and law enforcement regarding indigenous people based on national statistical datasets. By utilising the ISCC EUDRx tool, businesses can confidently navigate the complexities of compliance and streamline the due diligence process.
