At the beginning of the month, we launched the ISCC Gernot Klepper Research Award to celebrate outstanding research that advances science-based, innovative approaches to climate change mitigation, sustainable supply chains, and circular economy solutions.
With an annual award of up to €50,000, we recognise and support researchers who lead the development of integrated, actionable strategies that drive systemic change. Full-time faculty members, enrolled students, and permanent researchers at universities, research institutions, NGOs, or think tanks sharing our commitment to building a sustainable future qualify for the award.

Honouring the Legacy of Professor Gernot Klepper
This award is a tribute to Professor Gernot Klepper, whose visionary leadership and scientific integrity shaped ISCC and the global sustainability community. As a founding member of ISCC and Chair of the ISCC Association Board from 2013 to 2024, Gernot guided us to global leadership in credible certification and climate action. Through this award, we want to honour his legacy and continue his mission.
