Textile Exchange press release, 21 February 2019
The non-profit organisation Textile Exchange, currently acting as the secretariat for the 2025 Sustainable Cotton Challenge, has recognised ISCC as one of the preferred initiatives for sustainable cotton. The challenge has been established in 2017 in order to encourage brands and retailers in the apparel and textile industry to commit to sourcing 100% of their cotton from the most sustainable sources by the year 2025. So far, 39 companies in the textile sector have taken up the challenge.
For comprehensive information on the challenge, please take a look at the first annual report which provides details on achievements and impacts, as well as an introduction to the preferred initiatives (for ISCC related information see pp. 50-51).
