The System Update is mandatory for all ISCC System Users, ISCC Auditors and cooperating Certification Bodies.

1. ISCC PLUS

1.1 Updated ISCC Supplier Package for Companies Supplying to Brand Owners

We have updated the ISCC Supplier Package to ensure that it contains the most up-to-date information. The updated files are now available in the client section. 

The ISCC Supplier Package is designed to support System Users supplying ISCC-certified products or packaging materials to brand owners.

Key Updates of this Version:

  • Inclusion of the standalone ISCC PLUS System Documents
  • Updated presentations to align with recent developments

If you are currently using the ISCC Supplier Package to engage with your customers, please ensure that you download and use the updated version. The previous version will no longer be available and must no longer be used, as it contains outdated information that could lead to confusion or miscommunication.

1.2 Recertification of Combined Scopes under ISCC PLUS

The recertification rules described in Chapter 3.3 of the ISCC PLUS System Document 201 “System Basics” have been revised to include an exception under ISCC PLUS for the following case:

Point of Origin in combination with

  • Processing Unit, and/or 
  • Final Product Refinement 

If no waste or residue has been generated in the previous certification period, recertification of the scope Point of Origin in combination with the scope Processing Unit and/or Final Product Refinement is only possible under the following conditions:

  • To list materials in the annex, the process must be chemically and technically feasible, and the unit must intend to 
    • process/refine the specified input material, or 
    • produce/refine the indicated intermediate or final product 

during the upcoming certification period.

  • If the System User cannot provide evidence about upcoming activities, the material annex on the certificate and ISCC HUB must remain empty, except for the statement “No materials were handled as certified since the previous certification”.

Once the material is handled after recertification, the System User must contact the Certification Body to adjust the material annex of the certificate accordingly.

2. New Permission for Cooperating Certification Bodies to Use the ISCC Banner in Email Signatures

Cooperating Certification Bodies (CBs) are now permitted to use the ISCC “Certification Body” banner in their email signatures. This update allows CBs to clearly showcase their cooperation with ISCC in professional communication. The banner can only be used in email signatures associated with official email accounts of cooperating CBs. 

The ISCC “Certification Body” banner is available for download in the client section of the ISCC website.
