ISCC auditors and cooperating certification bodies.
1. Clarification on Auditor Requirements for ISCC EU RFNBOs
Please note, in addition to chapter 2.1 in the ISCC System Update from 17 September 2024, that ISCC will provide the mandatory ISCC Auditor Online Test and a summary video of all changes since the previous ISCC RFNBOs Training courses on 11 May 2023 or 18 January 2024 on the ISCC Academy platform.
Auditors who have already participated in one of the previous ISCC RFNBOs Training courses are allowed to start conducting audits under the ISCC EU RFNBOs scheme until 20 November 2024, the date when ISCC will offer the ISCC Auditor Online Test at latest. This test will also cover new content and requirements that were not available yet during the first two ISCC RFNBOs Training courses. We will inform those auditors as soon as the test is available.
After 20 November 2024, the successful completion of the auditor test will be mandatory to conduct an ISCC EU RFNBO audit.
All rules regarding the ISCC Auditor Online Test apply, including the limit of three attempts and a set timeframe of eight weeks since enrolment that may not be exceeded (i.e. successful completion mandatory for all auditors until 22 January 2025; an extended deadline due to public holidays).
Case 1: An auditor participated in the ISCC RFNBOs Training on 11 May 2023 or 18 January 2024
- No requirement to attend the ISCC RFNBOs Training on 20 November 2024
- It is possible to start ISCC EU RFNBOs audits without ISCC Attestation (i.e. passing the related test) until 20 November 2024
- After 20 November 2024 it will only be possible to conduct audits by an attested auditor (i.e. passing the related test)
Case 2: An auditor did not participate in neither the ISCC RFNBOs Training on 11 May 2023 nor on 18 January 2024
- The auditor will have to participate in the training on 20 November 2024 (or any other future training)
- Conduct and successfully pass the related test
