The System Update is mandatory for all users of the ISCC System, ISCC auditors and certification bodies (+ personnel).
We would like to inform you about the latest ISCC HUB update, implemented on 09 April 2024, which in addition to technical fixes, includes the following main improvements:
The new features are relevant to all ISCC HUB users and require advance knowledge. If you do not have the required background knowledge, please use the manual (system user and CB) for guidance.
Updated certificate submission process:
- Certification bodies (CBs) can now request system users to upload sites covered by the certificate- and sourcing contact information during the certificate submission process. Once initiated, this request triggers a task in the HUB for the system user. While this information must be available to issue a certificate, if the set-up requires it, it is optional for CBs to upload it themselves or request system users to upload the data.
Note for CBs:
- While the system user is required to upload the information, the certificate cannot be edited. If required, the task for the system user can be cancelled using the following path: open certificate draft visible in basic data section, click on “cancel site information request”
- Drafts of certificates can now be deleted or shared with the entire CB staff group before submission.
2. New site information update functionality:
Update for system users:
- So far, you could only update sourcing contact information in the HUB. Now, you can also initiate an update of sites covered by a valid certificate using the button “initiate site information update” on the certificate. Once submitted, a task is triggered for the CB to confirm the change. Only after confirmation by the CB will the change be reflected on the certificate in the HUB.
Update for CBs:
- If a system user updates their sites covered by the certificate, you have to check and approve the changes made according to the existing ISCC requirements.
- Moreover, you can request the update of existing information by triggering a task for the system users using the button “request site information” on the certificate. While the system user is required to upload the information, the certificate cannot be edited. If required, the task for the system user can be cancelled using the following path: open basic data repository “status of requested site information updates” in the menu, open certificate, click on “cancel site information request to system user”
The status of a site information update as well as the changes made over time can always be traced by checking the “changes history” section of the respective certificate.
3. Usability improvements:
To allow quick and easy pathways in the HUB, we have added links directly from a certificate to its associated registration. Further, for better orientation and overview, we have extended the basic data sections.
The basic certificate data section now includes:
- Certificate submission state
- Registration number
- ISCC Certification System
- Scopes/processing unit types
The operational unit registry section now includes:
- ISCC Certification System
- Scopes/processing unit types
We welcome feedback on the ISCC HUB and will continue to further improve it to incorporate the ongoing ISCC System developments while increasing efficiency for all parties involved. Any feedback or technical questions may be directed to certificate@iscc-system.org.
