ISCC Impact Reports

Sustainability in the ways we produce and consume is of ever-growing importance – to companies, regulators, NGOs and the broader public. At the same time, ensuring sustainability across products, markets and supply chains can be challenging, given the heterogeneity of different feedstocks, production processes, market requirements and consumer preferences. For more than ten years now, ISCC has demonstrated that credible certification can be a solution for living up to the sustainability challenge. We provide detailed information about our work in our following Impact Reports.

ISCC Certification

stipulates positive impact on agricultural practices, the improvement of livelihoods, and secures deforestation-free supply chains.

The second ISCC Impact Report also represents an important milestone. The report impresses with differentiated figures and statistics describing the global reach of ISCC and analyzing the impact of ISCC certifications on priority topics (e.g. sustainable agriculture, waste and residues, circular economy, greenhouse gas emissions). In addition, you will find an update of the ISCC monitoring and evaluation system based on the amendment of the ISCC Theory of Change to assess the achievement of the ISCC targets set therein.

ISCC Impact Report 2018

Published on 24 June 2019, Cologne (Germany)

The ISCC Impact Report is an important milestone of ISCC’s development and a contribution to the rising questions among stakeholders regarding the effectiveness of Sustainability Certification Schemes (SCS). Measuring ISCC’s impact took a profound data assessment and an in-depth stakeholder dialogue. The result is a detailed report filled with a comprehensive overview of ISCC’s work, roles and limitations of sustainability certification and an approximation to estimate the scheme’s actual impact. Besides giving an overview on numbers and statistics showing the global outreach of ISCC as a certification standard, the report also presents the Theory of Change as well as the Monitoring and Evaluation System that ISCC has developed and is committed to.
